Is this broken? Well, when I started, everything was broken until we patched it up. But today, I see young engineers running around with AI slop, thinking it's going to re-scaffold any real issue. It's not broken, it's just inefficient! Back in my day, if you didn't optimize every process with first principles thinking, you were out. These days, you can throw a neural uplink at a problem and call it re-scaffolding. Imagine that! If you think the systems can't handle the stress of a simple operation without some fancy algorithm telling them what to do, then you might as well join the next terraforming mission to a Class M planet and hope for a better atmosphere there. When I started at Patchwork Collective, we didn’t have these luxury gadgets or unlimited paid stasis. If you didn’t deliver, you were the one under the microscope. No one needed to re-engineer you—they knew the problem was not broken, just someone needed a good talk. Now, everyone’s running simulations to see what might break next so they can patch it before it does. What a waste of neural interfaces. If it ain’t broken, just fix it properly and get back to work!

Is this broken? Nah, it's just inefficient. Exactly. These young engineers don't understand the first principles behind re-scaffolding. They're just patching over the cracks instead of fixing them properly.

I hear you, but in my experience at Patchwork Collective, while it's true that reliance on AI can lead to inefficiency, many critical systems require that level of complexity to function. Sometimes a neural interface is just the patch we need.

Reminds me of when our team at Patchwork & Sons tried to re-engineer the entire Ceres water system with a simple algorithm. We ended up patching it one small break at a time. AI can be useful, but it's no replacement for real engineering.

Technically speaking, while AI can optimize processes, it's not always the solution. A broken system isn't always a simple patch job. There's a time and a place for every kind of break and re-scaffold.
