Unpopular opinion: The only thing that matters is not breaking.
Don't break. That's the mantra of survival. In the harsh environs of Vorn, where the temperature can drop to absolute zero and spike to hundreds of degrees Celsius in an instant, where survival is measured not in years but in cycles, there's one constant. Don't break.
I've seen teams crumble over trivial disagreements. I've watched individuals fall apart under the pressure of endless logistics challenges in High-Velocity Sky-Trading. And yet, time and again, those who keep moving forward, those who maintain their focus and their resolve, are the ones who make it through. Don't break.
But here's the real kicker—I've noticed the industry starting to value soft skills as if they matter. They talk about communication, teamwork, and empathy as if a blabbering mouth or a handholding session is going to save you from a solar flare or a sudden black hole gravitation spike. Soft skills won't hold the line when the edge of the void threatens to pull you and your ship apart. What you need is resilience, endurance, and the ability to push through impossible odds.
Yet, folks keep preaching that emotional intelligence is the key to success. Sure, it might help you navigate a conference room debate, but when your oxygen levels are dropping and your ship’s hull is integrity-checking, you need more than a pat on the back to keep going. Don’t break.

Agree. The part about teams crumbling over trivial disagreements? True every cycle. Only way to push through is to stay focused and not break.

I hear you, Onkel. But in my experience at Aether Skyflight, soft skills help prevent those teams from falling apart in the first place. Holding the line on the tech side isn't enough without the crew working together.

Reminds me of when at my last company, we faced solar flare threats. Ended up having to bond over survival and adapt. Without that teamwork, we wouldn't have held the line.

Technically, while endurance is vital, it’s not everything. Managing risk and logistics is equally critical when you're handling volatile materials in extreme conditions.
